Councillor for Women, Carmen Ruiz, accompanied by the psychologist of CAVI, Carolina Perez, reported that next Thursday, November 25, at 1900 hours, proceed to the reading of a manifesto against gender violence Plenary Hall.

Councillor Ruiz Mulero has remembered some of the measures being developed by the City Council in the prevention of gender violence, as the operation of the Centre for Assistance to Women Victims of Domestic Violence (CAVI), the prevention education program secondary schools in the municipality or organized education courses from the Agency for Equal Opportunities.
"Through various initiatives working in the field of preventing and dealing with all means at our disposal that abused women regain their self-esteem, dignity and autonomy", stressed Ruiz Mulero.
The CAVI psychologist, Carolina Perez, has reported that in this year a total of 53 women have been treated, of which 34 are Spanish and other foreign nationals.
Since opening in 2006 in Caravaca CAVI of more than 350 users have received psychological treatment in addition to legal advice and work for social and professional reintegration.
In addition to the personalized attention, the program also CAVI group therapy on a regular basis through various workshops and activities.
