The Museum of Ethnic Music Barranda hosts this Sunday, November 28, at 12.45 pm a concert by the singer Marta Campos, one of the most outstanding representatives of the Cuban trova.
Like all other activities held in the museum, free entrance until full capacity.
Marta Campos belongs to the Nueva Trova movement.
His discography includes, among other discs, "I want to sleep with the moon" (1997), "As I am" (1999), with Pablo Milanés and Hilda Santana, Lucia Huergo and jazz bassist Jorge Reyes, and "black heaves "(2004), also accompanied by important Cuban musicians such as trumpeter Yasek Manzano and Marial and Pacheco.
Throughout his long career he has collaborated and shared the stage with the best known Cuban musicians such as Silvio Rodríguez, Sara Gonzalez, Donato Poveda, Alberto Tosca or Gonzalito Rubalcaba, Amaury Pérez, Liuba Maria, Heidi Igualada, Augusto Blanca, Miriam Ramos Angel Quintero, Rita del Prado and many others.
In 2007 he won a special mention in the "A Song for Frida and Diego", sponsored by the Centro Pablo de la Torriente Brau.
The National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba UNEAC has given "The Tropical Gypsy" and the Medal for the Centennial of Nicolas Guillen.
The councilman of Culture, Maria Cruz Pérez, has advanced to the activities at the Museum of Music will continue on Sunday December 5 with a concert by Tibetan monks, as a demonstration of traditional instruments in their culture.
