The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has participated this morning at the closing of the Jubilee Year 2010 of the Santisima y Vera Cruz de Caravaca where he highlighted that during the past year, this town has been a leading light in the spiritual tourism.
Tovar Gonzalez recalled the support of the Government of Spain to approve the Tax Benefits for the event Caravaca Jubilee 2010, its consideration of an event of exceptional public interest, the signs to facilitate access to people and the creation of a greenway.
In this regard, the delegate explained that for two years, between January 1, 2009 and Dec. 31, have applied the measures of tax breaks to companies that have promoted the Jubilee Year.
"This initiative, said, highlighted the interest of the Government of Spain in support, including fiscal measures, this event is so important to Caravaca.
He also added that it has improved the conditions concerning Caravaca Jubilee 2003.
In that year the measure was conducted only from the month of June "so finally, companies only had a few months to take advantage of tax benefits."
In connection with this project and other programs financed by the Government of Rodriguez Zapatero in the Region of Murcia to boost tourism, the government delegate reported that the aggregate amount of these actions in Caravaca has passed in 2010, 19.3 million euros (more than 3,200 million pesetas).
"In times of crisis like the present-Tovar-Gonzalez stressed the government's investment in the region of Spain backs the quality tourism, shows its commitment to a region that enjoys extraordinary natural potential, economic and religious."
