The government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has reported that the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade has issued this morning for the Feast of Barranda crews in Caravaca de la Cruz the honorary title of Interest Party National.

Tovar Gonzalez expressed his satisfaction with the recognition that the Government of Spain grants to these groups of musicians from the sixteenth century to the present day have shaped much of the musical and social life of Caravaca and constitute one of the most important ethnographic Region of Murcia and Spain.

The case for access to this recognition was initiated at the request of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz and has been decided by the General Secretariat for Tourism and Trade Affairs, headed by its owner Joan Mesquida, who has reported this morning the Government Delegate, Regional Government and the council of the decision itself.
