We have heard that in a place called the Castle, situated near Royos addition to the existing base remains of what must be a tower of Islamic period around which there was a small farmhouse, which is attested to In view of the numerous ceramic remains in the place (see published by Indalecio Well in his work entitled "medieval towers CARAVACA FIELD), no evidence of the presence of an Islamic burial (not mentioned in the sources) and therefore should be the relevant archaeological reports and take immediate steps for its delimitation and protection, it is advisable that you make the appropriate archaeological surveys.
Furthermore, the presence of the tower base shelter is unquestionable.
There are hardly any similar buildings of that time, so we understand that the figure should be granted protection by law that applies, in order to value and enhance the dissemination of local historical heritage, especially that of our parishes.
On the other hand, according to the Spanish Historical Heritage Act, all the castles and fortresses of Spain, whatever their state of ruin, are considered of cultural interest by operation of law
Therefore, we will propose to the Plenary Council to agree, as has been done with the Castillo del Cerro de la Fuente Archivel and Cerro de la Cabezuela Barranda that:
Are issued timely and immediate action for the identification, marking and protection of existing remnants.
Urge the Department of Fine Arts and Cultural Assets, if applicable, for the remains of castles are considered a Cultural and likewise file being opened for the delimitation of the affected environment for better protection of the monument.
