The City of Caravaca, in collaboration with the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia, has launched a course for long-term unemployed to the workforce and training can be recycled in the profession of concierge and access controller.
For six months, 10 students selected from nearly 140 candidates will participate in lectures and in an internship in municipal buildings.
Councilman Job, Salvador Gomez, explained that this course is part of the initiatives put in place to retrain the unemployed from areas affected by the crisis.
Salvador Gomez recalled that during 2009 and 2010 have been invested over 2 billion in projects and initiatives related to the promotion of employment in the municipality.
"Right now is running a workshop on employment, with 39 student-workers, and 3 modules of local public employment," recalled the mayor, who has also advanced to the City Council and is working on projects for new employment workshops ahead of the second half of 2011.
