The Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, accompanied by the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, Domingo Aranda, today inaugurated the improvement works carried out in the Transportation Center of the municipality, for the momentum of the logistics sector and road transport in the Northwest Region.
José Ballesta remarked that "the improvement of infrastructure is one of the pillars of the Transport and Logistics in the Region of Murcia, driven by the regional government to increase the sector's competitiveness and economic development of the region."
"Through a combination of lines of action," he continued according to the needs of professionals and support for the 7,000 companies within the sector, the Region will continue to lead the country with the largest fleet of all communities cooling, dealing 20 percent of the activity. "
The work, funded by the Ministry with a total of 316,000 euros, is an extension of the esplanade of maneuvers over 4,500 square meters, including construction of new parking spaces for trucks.
In addition, there has been an extension of the fence of 293 meters, and lighting system, with two new lighting towers with 15 lights.
Also, it has installed a new circuit video surveillance, with 17 security cameras, that allows to automatically track.
Likewise, it has strengthened fire control and signaling, both horizontally and vertically, and are willing PTO points for refrigerated vehicles.
