This new road safety guarantees from the hamlet caravaqueña neighbors, and improves the connection to Andalusia Region
The president of the Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, today visited Barranda variant in Caravaca, coinciding with the opening to traffic of this strategic infrastructure whose works, which are nearing completion, involves an investment of 9.6 million euros from the regional government, and an improvement of road safety and transport of goods in the northwest region.
The visit, which was also attended by the Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, and the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, Domingo Aranda, follows the commissioning of more than six miles of new road, an inter-regional communication hub with a daily traffic over 4,300 vehicles, of which 15 percent are extremely large.
The work, which are running the latest details, improves the comfort and safety of traffic on the route along the old road, thanks to its characteristics and its links with Barranda and Nerpio, the latter through RM-702 road.
With all this variant will help boost business activity developed in the town of Caravaca, and the axis of goods resulting from the Region of Murcia between Valencia and Andalusia, responding to the needs of the citizens of the Region reducing traffic accidents in the area and relieving traffic on surrounding roads.
