The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, and the mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, inaugurated this morning the Women's Center, located on Calle Pedro Campos, next to the garden The Cejo, which has had a investment of 640,000 euros from the regional government.
The opening ceremony was also attended by Director General of Social Affairs, Gender and Immigration, Leopoldo Navarro, the Councillor responsible for the area of ​​Women, Carmen Ruiz, and representatives of women's associations in the municipality.
The building has two floors.
On the floor are, among other units, workshop classrooms artistic expression and entertainment and kitchen, a multipurpose room and computer room.
Also, on the first floor are arranged two training rooms and coordination, and several offices.
In this sense, the mayor, who thanked the support of the Autonomous Community to bring to reality this project, explained that "it is a center of services and opportunities open to entrepreneurs and training projects submitted by caravaqueños and caravaqueñas.
In the new facility will provide services of the Department of Women and Equality, offering information and guidance on training and employment advice to entrepreneurs and business, labor mediation, conciliation and new technologies.
Also the cabinet has been installed for the attention of victims of gender violence.
Similarly, information on women's associations, organization of exhibitions and activities related to the promotion of women and the dissemination of equal opportunities.
The center's objectives are to promote market access work for unemployed people and provide tools for reconciling family life and work.
It also aims to promote access to information and access classrooms to the Internet as a tool for personal development and professional training.
