The Department of Sports City of Caravaca de la Cruz has closed the 2010/2011 Municipal School Sports season.
The course ended with a resounding success in participation, with 2382 children enrolled in 12 schools in the town and villages.
Throughout the course competitions have been held since the youngest category of Youth in the ways in volleyball, basketball, handball, indoor football, badminton, athletics, table tennis, chess, cross country and multisport.
Prizes awarded in each of the categories were delivered yesterday afternoon by the mayor, Domingo Aranda, and the Councillor for Sports, Emilio Perez, in a crowded hall Juan Antonio Corbalan.
A school participation, and in efforts to promote the sport basis, must be added the recently closed Municipal Sports Schools with more than 1,200 children enrolled in the twenty or activities offered.
