Under the agreement approved at the last meeting of government, Red Cross volunteers provide an escort service in transporting the Day Care program, picking up the morning for users with motor impairments, accompanied again by afternoon their homes.
Likewise, the agreement reflects the complementary activities of leisure over the weekend aimed at those users.
Among the commitments made by the Consistory caravaqueño include the grant award of 12,000 euros to cover expenses for those services and the provision of an adapted vehicle.
The mayor of Social Promotion, Carmen Ruiz Mulero, wanted to highlight the boost that the local Red Cross delegation has experienced over the past two years, come to consist of about 150 people working voluntarily in areas such as Health and Relief , school support, home help and Distribution of Food, paying attention to some 250 families in the municipality.
"The City Council want to support this voluntary humanitarian organization, because we consider very important and necessary presence in the nearby town as a mechanism to help people in need," Ruiz stressed Mulero.
