The City of Caravaca de la Cruz will start this summer program of social and vocational integration for young people "My Opportunity", as announced by the councilman of Youth, Antonia M ª Álvarez, in a press conference with the responsible Local Employment Centre for Youth, Mari Robles.
The program, funded by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and the Youth Institute, is framed in the actions that the City is driving employment.
"This initiative, as its name suggests, aims to become an opportunity for young people with little or no work experience and few studies through training workshops related to personal motivation, training and career guidance," as responsible for the area Youth, who stressed that "the ultimate goal is to help young people in finding a job and professional qualifications."
For its part, the coach of Local Employment Centre has reported that modules will be taught personal development, employability and work habits, a total of 80 hours training.
The lectures will alternate with contacts with the business area and a personalized follow-up period of one year after completion of the program.
The "My Opportunity" will be developed during the months of July and September and is aimed at young people aged between 16 and 30.
To attract potential participants, the Youth Council has had the collaboration of different institutions of the municipality, as the Commonwealth of Social Services, Employment Service and Training and schools.
The deadline for entries is open and applications can be formalized in the Local Employment Centre for Youth, located on the premises of the Youth Center.
