This morning has been deposited in the Archaeological Museum of La Soledad column base stolen in 2008 in the temple of the Incarnation.
The piece was located in the town of Denia by the Guardia Civil when an individual was on the ferry to transfer artifacts to Palma de Mallorca to perform an illegal trade.
The base, two thousand years old, has remained at the Museum of Denia until court proceedings have been completed that have allowed the City of Caravaca how the move to the Archaeological Museum.
"For better conservation and to prevent future incidents will be exposed in the Archaeological Museum of La Soledad and place a reproduction original place," reported Councillor Culture and Heritage, Maria Cruz Pérez.
The recovered piece has an important heritage value, as it is part of the chapel of the Incarnation, where are located the remains of a Roman temple of Ionic order which was begun in the second century BC The place is declared of cultural interest category Historic Site.
