With the slogan "Caravaca safer," the council has launched a road safety campaign to try to improve circulation and reduce the number of accidents.
The Councillor for Citizen Security and Traffic, Juan Francisco Jiménez Puerta, presented this initiative to the media accompanied by the local police chief, Jesus Fernandez Bolaño.
The campaign includes several actions such as share of more than 5,000 leaflets among citizens, the emission of radio spots, information work of the agents aimed at drivers and pedestrians and regular checks in the town.

The campaign will continue in the coming months with other messages related to road safety.
"Influence basic traffic rules, which have been in place a long time and can reduce significantly the rate of claims, but which, however, we found that a high number of drivers and pedestrians do not respect them inside the hull city ​​with all the risks that entails, "he pointed out the police chief.
"From the Department of Public Safety and Traffic going to continue to promote education through campaigns such as that presented today and through other initiatives such as holding a conference on road safety aimed at both school and the adult population, but for these measures to be effective we need the cooperation and involvement of all citizens, "said Juan Francisco Jiménez.
