The mayor, Domingo Aranda, accompanied by the Councillor for Sports, Emilio Perez, director of the sporting event, Julio Robles, presented this morning the Al-Mudayna Alpine Marathon, which is hosting this Saturday, October 8, the hamlet of La Almudema.
"We want to launch an invitation to everyone to come to an event that combines the spirit of sacrifice, effort and enthusiasm of an entire people," said the mayor.
A total of 1,004 athletes have registered for the three modes of competition (walking, running and mountain biking).
The participants, coming from 18 Spanish provinces, will travel a winding route consists of roads, trails and ravines of the Sierra de las Cabras and environment Quípar River valley.

The scheduled events begin Friday at 20.00 hours in the Social Hall of the Amudema by holding a talk by Champion MTB Marathon Spain, Sergio Mantecón, Spain and runner-up and winner of the previous edition Al-Mudayna, Carlos Coloma.
On Saturday from 9.00 to 11.00 there will be the gradual release of the different modalities and 14.00 hours the awards ceremony.
