The Youth Council of the City of Caravaca closed the labor integration program "My Opportunity" for training and career counseling from a youth group.
The program was composed of modules for personal development, employability and work habits, a total of 80 hours training, and a practical part conducted in municipal departments.
The mayor Maria Antonia Alvarez, who has delivered the diplomas to the students involved, has made a positive evaluation of this initiative developed as a pioneer in the municipality.
"We hope to implement more programs of this type that are intended to motivate and assist the professional qualifications and finding employment, what is needed in this crisis that affects especially youth unemployment," he stated.
The "My Opportunity" has been funded by the Federation of Municipalities and the Institute of Youth (INJUVE).
The project involved the development of workshops and contacts with the business fabric of the area.
Completed the theoretical sessions, begins a period of one year follow-up to help and guide customized in finding a job.
Local Employment Centre for Youth, located in the Youth Center has coordinated the development of the "My Chance".
In this sense, Councilwoman Maria Antonia Jorquera Alvarez pointed out that this free service is available to all young people who want to receive caravaqueños advice and information on labor matters.
