The Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca has called the Literary Contest Albacara to promote literature and promote new values ​​in this field.
The contest is open to students from the Northwest District Elementary from 5 ° to 2 ° of high school, that will be established two categories of participation.
Interested students may submit works in the categories of prose or poetry, until 10 November.
The work, as stated in the competition rules will be presented with the system of "theme and pica" in the Municipal Library, either in person or by mail.
The awards ceremony will be held on December 14 in the auditorium of the Casa de la Cultura Emilio Sáez, coinciding with the feast of San Juan de la Cruz.
The mayor of Culture, Maria Cruz Perez, wanted to encourage students and teachers from schools in the district of North West to get involved in this literary contest that emerged in 1972 linked to the youth group "Albatross" and the Community of Discalced Carmelites and that, after a hiatus of several years, was recovered by the City to enhance the love of literature among children and youth.
