The Heritage Council approved at its meeting today the nomination of the Wine Horses for inscription on the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity UNESCO granted.
At the meeting, held in Madrid, have been attended by representatives of different regions and the Ministry of Culture.
Following approval of the application will send the complete dossier to the Ministry of Culture for submission to UNESCO Secretariat in March next year.
The City of Caravaca and the Autonomous Community with the support of a working committee comprised of experts in the celebration and in equity, has completed in recent months the record required by UNESCO to qualify for the declaration of Intangible Heritage of Humanity .
The record collects detailed information on issues related to the origin and evolution of the party, with special emphasis on unusual character, popular and participatory.
In addition, we have presented a dossier photographic and audiovisual report are reflected in the most participatory and representative on the morning of May 2.
Currently the Wine Horses of Caravaca de la Cruz are initiated as a Cultural Heritage as an ethnographic interest.
Possible inclusion on the Representative List seeks recognition of a party eminently popular and participatory whose age has been documented since 1765.
