The City of Caravaca de la Cruz and the Department of Environment is implementing a project on environmental suitability of the Tosquilla La Fuente.
This action is funded with 50,000 euros for the social work of La Caixa, are to improve the access and recreational areas of this site, located in the hamlet of Barranda.
The works being carried out are aimed at environmental improvement and accessibility of the site.
Thus, to sort and limit access of vehicles, new information signs will be placed, paper and wood railings in accordance with the environment, maintaining and improving the conservation of plants and eliminating flooding problems that had been producing so far.
The Source of Tosquilla, located at 1.2 kilometers southeast of the hamlet of Barranda, has a high botanical value, cultural and landscape.
The site is located a spring of water, with a throughput greater than 100 liters per second, which is used to irrigate garden areas near the villages of Navares and Los Prados.
The fountain is surrounded by lush vegetation with trees based on medium and large size.
