The Department of Sports City of Caravaca de la Cruz will launch a series of initiatives to promote the sport model based on the municipality and improve the image of the Municipal Sports Schools.
One of the measures taken is the creation of costumes for training and competition for students of nearly 20 types of courses offered by the council.
As explained by the Councillor for Sports, Emilio Perez, "until now the Sports Academies, such as running or swimming or soccer, competed with their own clothes, without a unified image, creating inequalities among children".
In effect, the mayor said that "with the introduction of kits that contributes to young people to identify with the group and feel proud to represent Caravaca de la Cruz in the competitions, while avoiding that parents have to make an extraordinary outlay. "
The students of municipal schools football, athletics and swimming and wear the new image of grassroots sport in competitions held throughout the Region.
The costumes will be progressively implemented in all group and individual modalities.
The Municipal Sports Schools are among the most participatory of the Region of Murcia, about 1,200 children enrolled in twenty sports.
The Department of Sports is set as a priority to enhance the love of sport from an early age as an alternative to healthy living and why this course has expanded programming with tennis school to children with intellectual disabilities or Beach Volleyball School.
