The Pilgrim's Market, sponsored by the departments of Tourism and Handicraft of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, begins its new season with editions dedicated to Carnival, Father's Day, the Spring, the Wine Horses and Earth Day .
Local Hospitality Association joined this initiative with the offer of "Plato's Pilgrim," based on traditional recipes and typical products of the area.
The new season begins this Sunday, February 19, with the special edition of Carnival, children's workshops will feature makeup and mask making and selling points of the traditional fried cakes of the "Night of Reventón."
The Pilgrim's Market is held every third Sunday of the month, 10.00 to 14.30 pm in the Plaza del Arco with the participation of about 25 artisans and merchants of Caravaca and other localities in the region.
This activity has become a tourist attraction in the city, which also serves to support and promote the artisans of the area.
The activities organized during the season of the market, which lasts until June, have been announced by the mayors of Tourism and Handicrafts, Maria Cruz Perez and Maria Teresa Romero respectively, accompanied by the president of the hoteliers, Jesus Jimenez , and the representative of "Entertainment Prometheus" Paul Miñano.
