The plenary session of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz on the evening yesterday approved a joint motion for the implementation of an action plan geared to tourism and economic development on Main Street.
The text, agreed by all political groups, contains a series of measures to boost the area representative of the old town, which in recent years has been losing many of its stores.
The motion, which stems from an initiative by UPyD provides for the celebration on Main Street entertainment, cultural and gastronomic routes, its inclusion on the routes of pilgrims and guided tours as well as promoting their low commercial host associations, groups and craft workshops, among other measures.
Another motion was approved joint yesterday was that relating to the closure of the wastewater pond Industrial Estate broods, after construction of a collector roof drainage.
The resolution adopted at the initiative of the Socialist Group, is to petition the State Agency of Land (SEPES) the recovery and subsequent transfer of the land it occupies the raft for use as general system infrastructure.
At the regular meeting of February also came forward other issues of urban character, as the final approval of the structural modification 66 of the General Urban Plan (PGMO) to regulate the occupation of the street with bars and terraces restaurants.
Also approved the advance planning UR sector "Glen of Mastic" and a specific amendment to facilitate the installation of elevators in buildings.
Finally, the favorable votes of the government team led to the initiation of the transfer record for the Bishopric of Cartagena-Murcia of a plot of Casablanca partial plan that is aimed at the provision of social services such as training young or elderly care, and activities related to the Catholic religion.
