From 7 to March 10 will mark the first Guitar Festival City of Caravaca de la Cruz, organized by the Conservatory of Music in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Education of the City of Caravaca.
The event was presented this morning by the mayor, Domingo Aranda, accompanied by Cajamurcia regional director, Pedro Antonio Hurtado, and professor of the conservatory and festival coordinator, Eric Tinoco.
The festival will bring together leading guitar masters of international renown, who will participate in training courses and three concerts.
In this first edition will present the winner of Alesandria Michele Pittaluga Cecilio Perera, the winner of Francisco Tarrega International Competition in Benicassim Paola Requena and luthier Juan Carlos Busquiel.
The first of the scheduled concerts will take place on Wednesday, March 7, in the Plenary Hall of the City Council and shall be paid by Cecilio Perera, guitarist with a long career that has been a soloist with many orchestras such as Symphony Cuba or the Vivaldi Conservatory in Alessandria.
Throughout his career he has received numerous international awards, among which include the first prize in Classical Guitar Michele Pittaluga in Alessandria or first prize in the Boston Guitar.
The second concert will be on Thursday, March 8, in the chapel of Santa Teresa Convent of the Carmelite Fathers.
Paola Requena act, one of the greatest guitarists of the time projection formed in the school "Alfred Corlot" in Paris and at the Conservatory "Oscar Esplá" of Alicante.
Despite his youth, Cartagena guitarist and has received numerous awards in international competitions.
Finally, on Friday, March 9, will close the concert Guitar Festival City Caravaca participating students training courses with a recital at the hall of the Conservatory.
Within the program of this festival is planned also hold courses.
One will be given by the luthier Juan Carlos Busquiel and is titled "The construction process of the Spanish guitar."
The First Guitar Festival City Caravaca de la Cruz is one of the activities under the collaboration agreement signed between the Foundation Cajamurcia, City Hall and the Conservatory of Caravaca to perform concerts and other cultural activities.
