The Museum of Ethnic Music Barranda welcomes today, Friday, at 19.30 a talk and screening on Scissors Dancers of Peru, an ancient tradition recently declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
The conference will be borne by the Intercultural exviceministro of Peru, José Carlos Vilcapoma.
At the conference, Jose Carlos Vilcapoma discuss aspects of traditional culture of the Incas, focusing on magic-religious rituals that take place in Peru during the holidays and pilgrimages to shrines prehispanic.
After exposure, the documentary "Blood Rites. From ditch to clean Scissors Dance", 22 minutes.
The Dance of Scissors, Intangible Heritage of Humanity, is executed with violin and harp music and the dancers are featured in a ritual in which test their skill, ability and endurance.
