The City of Caravaca de la Cruz has renewed its collaboration agreement with the National Association Project Abraham for promoting activities aimed at social and professional integration of groups at risk of social exclusion.
This was announced this morning the Councillor Social Development, Carmen Ruiz, at the close of the workshop socio-occupational "Garment Sewing and Repair", chaired by the Director General of Social Affairs and Immigration Equality, Leopoldo Navarro.
The partnership aims for service delivery and training activities for job search, focused mainly on disadvantaged groups of society.
Specifically, we will schedule training courses, workshops, occupational and environmental awareness activities and social values ​​aimed at schools.
"We will also continue with the social center and the store sign, located on Calle Juan Carlos I, where you can buy very cheaply recycled clothing that citizens place in containers pre clothing, footwear and toys scattered around the city, "reported the mayor Carmen Ruiz.
The renewal of the cooperation agreement coincided with the closing of the workshop Sewing and Garment Repair, funded by the Bancaja Foundation and taught by Abraham Project for promoting self-employment.
"The workshop was attended by a total of ten women who have received eighty hours of theoretical and practical classes on basic sewing machine," as the president pointed out Project Abraham, Rafael Sanchez, during the ceremony held in the Plenary Hall of the City of Caravaca.
