The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through the Department of Health, Crafts, Trade and Consumer Affairs, Murcia Association of Consumers and Users, Consumur have formalized this year a protocol for the consumer, aimed at citizens of Caravaca de la Cruz.
One of the primary objectives of this protocol is to promote information, education and training of consumers and users so that they are able to act as consumers and users aware, critical and responsible.
During 2012 and framed in this agreement, will manage the Municipal Office of Consumer Information (OMIC) in the municipality, which will be reported and processed consumer complaints to consumers and / or users.
Only in 2011 this office handled more than 1,800 inquiries and complaints, namely 1408 and 417 claims inquiries.
Also, this year will conduct a market study to verify the knowledge that citizens of the municipality have the service offered by the OMIC and the level of satisfaction with it.
In addition, the City of Caravaca de la Cruz and CONSUMUR will conduct a major information campaign, awareness and consumer awareness through a radio program with a fortnightly, through which will report on the rights and obligations of consumers and / or users.
The accession of companies in the municipality to the Consumer Arbitration System in the Region of Murcia is another of the main goals for this year, a goal that will be reached with the accession of at least 25 facilities in Caravaca de la Cruz, through a specific campaign aimed at the business sector which will announce the arbitration system and the benefits it has for businesses and consumers.
Other activities planned for this year is a school competition on responsible consumption, aimed at primary pupils of primary schools in the municipality.
The goal is to educate and raise awareness among children about the importance of promoting responsible drinking.
Following the completion of all activities in the clinical protocol will be a press conference to publicize the development of these and of an annual report on consumer activities conducted in the municipality.
