In the exhibition you can admire the pictures, thrones and banners of the various guilds that processions in Caravaca de la Cruz.
The Association of Guilds of Holy Week, in collaboration with the City of Caravaca, brought together in one place and for the sixth consecutive year the rich heritage of Easter, consisting of images of high artistic quality as The Sorrows and The Capture, attributed Salzillo's school, and the Virgin of Sorrows, the work of artist Mark caravaqueño Laborda.
The most notable of this year is the addition of a new Marian image in the Guild of St. John the Evangelist, which was presented last night to coincide with the opening of the exhibition.
The event was attended by the mayor, Domingo Aranda, president of the Association of Guilds, Maria Carmen Lopez Caravaca area's vicar-Mula, Jesus Aguilar, and the older brothers of different fraternities.
The carving of Our Lady of Mercy has been sculpted by veleño Israel Sanchez Cornejo.
The program of processions of Holy Week starts this Friday before Palm Sunday, at 22.00 hours with the traditional Stations of the Cross of Christ Guild of Volunteers and the Solemn Procession of Our Lady of Sorrows.
Palm Sunday at 11.00 am will be the procession of Las Palmas and the Entry of Jesus.
In the afternoon, at 19.00, will be the bishop of the Diocese of Cartagena, Jose Manuel Lorca Planes, asked to deliver the opening speech at the parish church of El Salvador.
