Caravaca de la Cruz is one of the cities participating in the International Folklore Festival in the Mediterranean, held in Murcia from 3 to 7 September.
The departments of Tourism and Celebrations of the City of Caravaca, with the collaboration of the Edict of the horses came, take advantage of this event and forty-five years of history to promote the horses came and other tourist attractions of the city.

In the afternoon, from 19.30, the coach of the horses came head the Folklore Festival Parade, with groups from other parts of Spanish territory, as the Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands, and other countries international as Portugal, Peru and Russia.
"This festival, established itself as a leading national event aimed at promoting culture and folklore, will continue the work to promote the candidacy UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of the horses came" as highlighted the council of Celebration in the Consistory caravaqueño, Jose Francisco Garcia, who wanted to thank the City of Murcia's invitation to participate in the event.
The International Folklore Festival in the Mediterranean is declared of Regional Tourist Interest and its purpose is to act as an integrator between different folk federations and associations worldwide.
The events will take as its central theme the Mediterranean Sea and the cultures of the countries participating in the festival and are part of their environment.
