To date, 20 families have benefited from the "Book Bank" and 16 remain on the waiting list
The City of Caravaca de la Cruz and the Association are managed Project Abraham a "Book Bank" for the collection and recycling of textbooks.
The donated material is given to families who request it, counting with the collaboration of schools and the Associations of Parents Township.
The material collection point is located in the store trace of Abraham Project, located on Calle Juan Carlos I, number 22.
The time to deposit books and ordering is from 10:00 to 14:00 during the month of August and the month of September also in the afternoon from 17:00 to 20:30.
The Councillor for Education and Social Promotion, Carmen Ruiz, has appealed to all those families who have textbooks for primary and secondary schools to join this initiative which aims to help many families experiencing economic hampered.
Also, Mulero Ruiz stated that the "Book Bank" is a project that promotes solidarity, and commitment to saving the environment by recycling.
Last year the "Book Bank" was launched on a pilot basis with very positive results, and that to date have deposited a total of 1,234 books of Primary, Secondary and Bachelor and 67 books were delivered for use .
"I have benefited 20 families, which has been given the books for free, and we have waiting list to other 16", according to data provided by the representative of the Association Project Abraham, M ª José Chumillas, who also reported that books are needed mainly 1st, 2nd 3rd and 4th of ESO and 5 and 6 Primary.
