The Department of Women, Family and Social Development of the City of Caravaca rises to the plenary today the proposed establishment of the Bureau of Local Coalition against Domestic Violence.
The written rules for the operation of this body contains a number of guidelines and criteria for action aimed at all those involved in the care of victims and prevention of abuse.
"The Local Coordination Bureau Gender Violence want it to be an effective and well articulated so that each professional involved in the case know what to do, when and who is competent to do so, as very important for the victim to feel fully supported by the decisions to be taken ", as reported by Councilwoman Carmen Ruiz, who has detailed the intention is that the board ordinarily meets twice a year and special meetings whenever deemed necessary members.
This body will be represented managers and technicians of the departments of Social Welfare, Education and Health of the City of Caravaca, bodies and security forces (Police and Guardia Civil), Judge of Court of 1st Instance, the social workers of the Regional Hospital and Mental Health Center and CAVI workers, among others.
The objectives of the Local Board against Gender Violence pass at the municipal level to promote policies to eradicate gender violence, improve early detection of cases, promote coordination of stakeholders, provide an agile response to victims, provide protection to high-risk victims and conduct educational activities and awareness among the population.
