In order to raise awareness among parents and other members of the educational community what the Dyslexia, how to detect early and ways to treat this disorder in learning, next Friday, November 16, 18.00 will hold a briefing in the House of Culture Emilio Sáez.
This is an activity organized by the Association of Dyslexia and other learning disabilities in the Region of Murcia, with the collaboration of the departments of Health and Education of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz.
In the same participation of renowned experts in the field, as Francisco Román (Professor of Neuropsychology at the University of Murcia); Immaculate Lorente (psychologist and head of the research group at the University of Murcia "Dyslexia in Development") and Ana Maria Marti (president of the Association of Dyslexia and other learning disabilities).
Dyslexia is a specific learning disorder most common among schoolchildren.
Often causes school failure and affects the emotional development of the child and the whole family.
According to different statistics, Dyslexia affects a greater or lesser degree, to 10% -15% of the population.
Usually associated with difficulty learning to read fluently, despite being of children intelligent and motivated.
Reading is slow and have frequent errors such as omissions, substitutions or inversions of letters.
