The Department of Environment of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz raised in Parliament today the regular probation of an ordinance to regulate the production and management of waste generated at construction and demolition.
The legislation, in the words of the mayor Antonia María Álvarez Jorquera, works to ensure that debris and other materials receive appropriate treatment and avoid proliferation of uncontrolled landfills in the municipality, promoting recycling and sustainable development of the municipality .
The ordinance determines that license applicants municipal construction, demolition or trenches will have to submit a Waste Management Study and post a bond to obtain the appropriate authorization.
Also, if necessary, should include an inventory of hazardous waste.
Obtaining license by the City will be linked to the conditions set out in the ordinance.
Also, the amount of the deposit will be returned once it is established the proper management of waste in approved facility.
"With this new ordinance will ensure compliance with the rules on waste, while promoting recycling and reuse of materials related to the business of construction and environmental care," as detailed Councilwoman Middle Environment.
