The Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz joins the campaign "Quitapesares Library", which is being carried out in different parts of the region with slogan "You take away the penalties, and you take away is the other" and in order to collect food for families in need.
This campaign is that all users of the municipal library that has the license suspended for having returned late works, you can donate basic food and be acquitted of fulfilling the penalty, in what has been termed "joint fine."
The donated food will be part of the food bank run by Caritas in Caravaca de la Cruz.
In this campaign, any citizen can participate by donating food, whether or not punished, whether or not a library user.
The councilman of Culture, Maria Cruz Perez, said that the Library of Caravaca de la Cruz wanted to be involved in this original campaign launched from Murcia Regional Library to help with food distribution work being done by Caritas.
Also, the mayor reported that the campaign will run from December 12 to February 28 at the offices of the Municipal Library, the Casa de la Cultura Emilio Sáez.
