Mayor Domingo Aranda, director of International University Mar, Carmen Martinez, and the Vice Chancellor for Strategic Development and Training, Fernando Martin, today presented the course "Geological Heritage: conservation and cultural and heritage tourism mineralogical and petrological ", held in Caravaca from 24 to 26 July in the training of campus" Mare Nostrum ".
The event was also attended by the course director, Francisco Guillen, who has stressed that it is a course of exceptional quality, open to all audiences, and will feature a team of 10 professors and leading scientists order.
Meanwhile, Domingo Aranda stressed that "to Caravaca is an honor to return to be one of the official venues of the campus" Mare Nostrum and collaborate well with the excellent work of formation of the International University of the Sea ".
The course, whose enrollment period is open, consisting of 11 lectures that show the wonders of the natural and current initiatives for management, conservation, tourism and educational use.
In addition participants will enjoy three tours, a workshop of crystallization of minerals, mineralogy exhibition "Original or Replica?"
and a projection on giant crystals of Naica (Mexico).
The course is part of the X XXXIII Meeting and Seminar of the Spanish Society of Mineralogy.
In total 50 people have been offered, open to all those interested in geological heritage and the management, use and conservation of the Natural Environment.
