Caravaca IU-Green has filed a motion for the next full launch of a campaign to allow children of needy families in the municipality access to free school meals during the summer months.
Juan Berbell, councilor training, indicated that many children eat at least once a day by grants dining, but with the end of the school year these guarantees just food.
The mayor noted that the Administration "to take sides on this issue" and defend the rights of people, among which is the right to adequate food, in addition to fighting social exclusion.
IU-Greens also requested in his initiative that the City consult the educational community needs of children and thus the right to establish comprehensive child.
It urges the Autonomous Community to maintain canteen open during the summer, reorganizing this service in accordance with the needs of the municipality.
