The Regional Employment Board, composed of representatives of the consistory of the Northwest and the Employment and Training Service (SEF), held a meeting in the city of Caravaca de la Cruz to approve the employment promotion program "Agricultural District Councils" , which will hire unemployed from agriculture.
Under that program, the State Public Employment Service to the City of Caravaca awarded a grant of 240,000 euros, which will go to cover wage costs and social security contributions of workers.
"The amount allocated will enable recruitment, for a period of two months, a total of 93 people, who will be responsible for carrying out works and services of general interest and social", the councilor for Employment, Salvador Gomez.
According to the reports adopted by the Regional Employment Board, responsible workers from next August to perform cleaning and gardening in public spaces of the town and in the villages as well as agricultural work in ways and places of the term city.
The program granted agricultural county councils last year and developed in recent months has led to the creation of numerous improvement and maintenance activities in areas such as the Barrio Nuevo, Torrentera street and slopes of the Castle, the municipal cemetery, as well as solar and landscaped areas.
