The municipalities of Caravaca de la Cruz and Cehegín will launch a device that reduces overall copper thefts in both municipalities.
The heads of the departments of Public Safety and Urban Development of the two town councils have held a meeting to promote preventive measures and coordinate new policing control.
The two councils agreed to exchange information on the "modus operandi" and increase the frequency of controls, both in places susceptible to theft, such as farms, factories, transformers and lighting, such as access to potential recipients of material properties .
At the meeting, in addition to planning a series of actions, balance was made thefts in recent months, as well as highlights police actions which have resulted in the seizure of stolen copper material.
