This is the first Middle Distance Triathlon Murcia

The first Middle Distance Triathlon Murcia held on Saturday August 24, organized by the Department of Sports City of Caravaca de la Cruz and the Al-Mudayna Sports Association, with the coaching of the Federation of Triathlon in the Region of Murcia.
In the first edition of Al-Mudayna Half Distance Triathlon will involve more than 200 athletes from throughout the Spanish geography and some from foreign countries.
These include elite athletes such as James Lewis, champion Spain Half Marathon in 2012 and third in 2013.
The test, which combines Swimming, Cycling and Athletics, will start with the sector to swim 1.9 kilometers from the reservoir Calasparra Alfonso XIII.
Then, participants will cover 90 miles of riding between the towns of Calasparra, Moratalla, Caravaca de la Cruz, a positive slope of 1,280 meters to finish running 21.1 kilometers from the entrance to Caravaca mall to get to the resort Torralba Fernández sports.
The organization has provided 15 points of supplies to ensure sufficient attention athletes until arrival at FinishLine.
Al-Mudayna Half Distance Triathlon will start at 14.00.
Participants will have a time limit of seven hours to complete the course.
It has established a safety device consisting of a Underwater Rescue team of the Region of Murcia; motorized traffic agents of the Guardia Civil and Local Police in Caravaca, Moratalla and Calasparra.
They will be reinforced by volunteers from the Red Cross, Civil Protection.
