The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through the Public Library, opens the deadline for submission of papers to Literary Contest "Albacara".
The competition is open to all students in the Northwest Region, from the 5th year of Primary School up to 2 °.
The Department of Culture Annual Conference meets this contest with the aim of promoting a taste for literature among children and youth and promote new values ​​in this field.
The origin of the contest is linked to youth group "Albatross" Edith Stein Club and the Community of Discalced Carmelite Fathers.
The awards "Albacara" was first held in 1972 and are one of the youth literary contests most traditional Spain.
The bases of two categories, students in grades 5 and 6 primary and 1 and 2 of Secondary and students of 3 ° and 4 ° of Secondary and 1 and 2 of high school.
It also provides for possibilities of participation in Fiction and Poetry.
Interested parties should submit the work before November 15, by mail or in person at the counter of the Library, employing system "motto and pica" (attached complete rules).
The awards ceremony will take place on December 13, the eve of the anniversary of the death of the monk and poet San Juan de la Cruz.
The jury will award two prizes for each category and class, consisting of ebooks and tablets.
