Miguel Sanchez Lopez, Municipal spokesperson Union, Progress and Democracy (UPyD), has the following MOTION, for its opinion on Commission and approval if required by the City Parliament.
EXPLANATORY STATEMENT:
The Municipal Plenary UPyD elevates this motion as a matter of URGENCY, because of the critical situation which is from a month ago the transmission line linking the capital Caravaca and vice versa.
It's strange silence "accomplice" to the governing of the City Council kept up to date on this very serious labor dispute, which clearly harms the citizens of Caravaca de la Cruz and the municipality, there are now four consecutive weeks that the workers (some of our neighbors), Costa Calida company belonging to the group IASA, the concessionaire of the line carrying INDEFINITE STRIKE for unpaid wages and other claims on the other hand consider very fair, fulfilling only the minimum services established.
We all know the many travelers (students, workers, patients in hospitals in the capital, etc, etc) that use the bus line, only public link to the capital Caravaca available here unfortunately do not have another conveyance than this, and that is causing all these people harm in schedules, arrivals and departures from them.
Knowing well the agreement signed with the company by the City for college transport, this group possibly being the most affected by the strike, we have not heard a single word critical of the company and the dispute with its workers, something that from UPyD ask and demand is made.
That is why UPyD Municipal Group Plenary Council proposes to the following
AGREEMENT:
That the City Council be urged to the Department of Transportation and the Director General of the rapid and effective mediation to resolve as soon as possible this serious conflict that is detrimental to our neighbors in Caravaca de la Cruz, as well as the mediation of our Mayor or Councillor in the same area.
