The Region has allocated over € 5.5 million to conserve 30 regional roads in the municipalities of Caravaca, Calasparra, Moratalla, Cehegín and Bullas, covering a total of 365.75 kilometers.
This was announced today by the Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Sevilla, accompanied by the Mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, and the Director of Roads, José Guijarro.
"This contract has a high profitability for both the Northwest Region to Highways, allowing us to concentrate specific means for these municipalities," said Antonio Sevilla.
The Minister stressed that "the base, located in Caravaca de la Cruz, increase the performance and efficiency of regional resources for this purpose, to spend less time commuting"
In the bidding process conducted by the Ministry allowed to select the most suitable deal for the regional administration, which in addition to the price offered is also taken into account the technical quality of the bid.
In order to ensure the feasibility and safety conditions in the above way will be undertaken actions that involve three types of conservation actions: immediate and scheduled use and defense of the road.
They include also specific monitoring tasks and emergency situations.
