About 200 artisans from different guilds, install outlets in the market
Caravaca de la Cruz celebrates the coming Medieval Market on 6, 7, 8 and 9 December, I coindidiendo with the bridge of the Constitution.
To commemorate the tenth edition of the market, the departments of Tourism and Celebrations of the City of Caravaca planned an extensive program of workshops, performances and children's activities that move the visitor to the medieval era.
The Councillor for Tourism, Maria Cruz Perez menifestó that "the market size and the number of visitors have made the Medieval Market Caravaca one of the highlights of Spain and a major tourist attraction for the city."
For his part, responsible for the area of ​​Celebration announced that this year's Grand Medieval Tournament comes loaded with new features and passed to Sunday, the 8th, at 11.00 am.
"In addition, this year we will have the Medieval Dinner Sovereign Order of the Temple, and we think it is very positive that the Moors and Christians involve themselves in the market because it will make a great appeal and value," said José Francisco García.
They have already confirmed their presence in the market more than 200 artisans from different guilds, coming from most Spanish provinces.
The craft outlets shall be located at the start of the Gran Vía, Plaza del Arco, Plaza Nueva and the streets Canalica, Puentecilla, Nuns, College, Major and promenade in Santa Clara.
All spaces in the old town and craft stalls will be engaladdos with banners, flags and pennants medieval prepared for the occasion.
The animation will be enhanced this year with different children's corners scattered along the route, where children can enjoy games and workshops.
Besides entertainment groups bellydance, fire, mosquitoes and theater made numerous parades during market days.
Medieval Camp, located at the end of the promenade in Santa Clara, will feature an exhibition of arms and armor, the dramatized "The daughter of Don Alvaro" combat archery and gentlemen, among other activities show.
Moreover, we will install a Camp Falconry on the grounds of the Museum of the Festival with displays of birds of prey.
On the street Canalica popular meals are offered with typical local products.
On day 6 you can taste pork slaughter, day 7 and day 9 crumbs segureño lamb.
Some bars and restaurants of the Hospitality Association made the VI Segureño Gastronomic Lamb.
The X Medieval Market will be open to the public from 6 to 9 dediciembre, open all day from 11.00 to 22.00.
