The Department of Environment of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has applied the treatment "red palm weevil" the palms of municipal parkland.

Preventive treatment is carried out in several phases, from January to October, making an extra treatment to 20 palms especially vulnerable, as are those in the García-Esteller, Museum of the Party, the Loch Park Square Bulls or the Garden Doctor Robles.
The councilor responsible for the maintenance key parks and gardens, M ª Antonia Jorquera, explained that technicians special employment center "Ecojardín" periodically to apply the product through injectors or pegs in holes made in the troco.
