The Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has made awards of youth literary award "Albacara".
The event, held at the House of Culture "Emilio Sáez," was attended by the mayor of M ª Cruz Pérez, Ignacio Carmelite screws and the head of the Municipal Library, Juan Antonio Martínez Piqueras.
Coinciding with the fortieth anniversary of the event, the organization paid tribute to Juan Garcia Juan Romera, former Language Arts teacher at IES San Juan de la Cruz, who has been part of the jury of "Albacara" in almost every edition .
This course have been awarded: Estela Navarro Verdejo (CEIP "Holy Cross"), with the work "The shoe that dreamed of being heeled shoe", Monica Robles Belén Sánchez (IES "Oróspeda"), with "The Garden of Arc Iris "; Paloma López straps (CEIP" Holy Cross "), with" Letters and Numbers "; Lucia Lopez-Aguilar Fajardo Melgares (CC Our Lady of Consolation), with" The cuaro stations "; Antonio Muñoz Love (IES "Songs"), with "Tales of an expedition"; Belén Martín López (IES "San Juan de la Cruz"), with "Resistance" and Álvaro Álvarez Thomas (IES "Oróspeda"), with "Abou".
The jury was chaired by Father Ignacio Spindles and participated Eulalia Maria Cano, María del Carmen Carrión, José and Juan Antonio Martínez Ródenas Piqueras.
The Ayuntamento of Caravaca de la Cruz, through the Municipal Library, calls this event annually in order to promote a love of literature among children and young people and promote new values ​​in this field.
The origin of the competition is linked to youth group "Albatros" Edith Stein Club and the Community of Discalced Carmelite Fathers.
The "Albacara" awards are one of the juveniles most traditional literary competitions in Spain.
