The group "Sisters Cities" consists of 17 localities of the country which include Caravaca de la Cruz, yesterday held a meeting to outline the path around the figure of Santa Teresa, to be presented at next edition of International Tourism Fair in Madrid (Fitur).
The Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Maria Cruz Pérez, was commissioned to represent Caravaca de la Cruz, which was the third meeting of the group of Teresian cities since it was set up the initiative.
The Teresian Malagon cities met in order to realize the tourist offer that part of the celebration of the commemoration of the V Centenary of the Birth of St. Teresa.
The meeting worked on the launch of the joint project of the Teresian cities, namely the organization of tourist routes, pilgrimage and cultural around the figure of Santa Teresa.
Progress was also made in the joint creation of a corporate image, that website and brochures of all participating cities and public presentation of the event, to be held at FITUR.
In this third meeting was attended by the director of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, Marcial Marin.
The Marin himself explained that this meeting symbolizes "unity and understanding between administrations with a shared goal: recognition of St. Teresa of Jesus."
The Minister of Culture of Castilla La Mancha said before the start of the meeting that "we are working collaboratively, joined the 17 cities above any political ideology, to celebrate this event as it deserves, to emphasize the figure of St. Teresa of Jesus and his contribution to the world of letters and the Spanish culture "in the interest" to convert the 17 Teresian cities into a tourist and cultural destination world order. "
