FITUR will host a public presentation of "Footprints of Santa Teresa"
Representatives of the "Sisters Cities" have today held a meeting in Granada to finalize the draft of the tourist route "Footprints of St. Teresa of Jesus," which is part of Caravaca de la Cruz and 16 other Spanish cities.
The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, accompanied by the Councillor for Tourism and Culture, Maria Cruz Perez.
The "Footsteps of St. Teresa of Jesus" route will be presented in the next edition of the International Tourism Fair of Madrid (FITUR).
To promote the route, have conducted various initiatives such as the design features an image coporativa a website and publishing a guide with information on the cities participating in the initiative.
In the next edition of FITUR will also formalize the collaboration agreement between the mayors for the activities of V Centenary of St. Teresa.
In the words of Mayor Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, "we have an exciting project, supported by the Government of Spain and major national cultural institutions, which complements tourism in Caravaca de la Cruz, linking us to cities like Avila, driving of Seville, or Granada Burgos "initiative.
Late last year, gave the Carmelite Order at 17 Spanish cities where Santa Teresa founded convents the title of "City Teresiana".
