The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, and Murcia Association of Consumers and Users, Consumur, will carry out a protocol on consumption, aimed at residents of the municipality.
The formalization of the agreement took place this morning with the signing of the cooperation agreement by the mayor, Domingo Aranda and Consumur president, Roberto Barcelo.
After signing the agreement, the council responsible for the area, Maria Teresa Romero, took stock of the functioning of the Municipal Office of Consumer Information (OMIC).
"Only in 2013 this office handled over 2,400 inquiries and complaints, namely 2,032 inquiries and 454 complaints, 329 more than in the previous year," said the councilor.
Among the sectors most complaints in 2013 in the office caravaqueña highlights the services sector, in particular, complaints related to administrative procedures (1085 consultations), mobile telephony (244 inquiries and 199 complaints) and electricity (117 inquiries and 25 complaints ).
One of the fundamental objectives of the agreement between the City of Caravaca and Consumur is to promote information, education, and training of consumers and users.
During 2014 and framed in this agreement, the Municipal Office of Consumer Information (OMIC) in its reporting and process consumer complaints consumers and / or users will be managed.
Another action that will take place this year is the First Children Fair Responsible Consumption, coinciding with the celebration of International Day for Consumer Rights, which took place on March 15.
Moreover, within the activities planned for this year, is the embodiment of the magazine "ConsuCaravaca" electronic publication on responsible consumption that will be prepared by students of 4th Secondary education institutions in the municipality.
Moreover, this year is scheduled the completion of the First Edition of the Awards "For a Responsible Consumption" aimed at the social organizations of Caravaca de la Cruz.
