The Center for Victims of Domestic Violence (CAVI) of Caravaca de la Cruz held a workshop entitled "Know your court", which involved a group of users of the service, who have moved to the premises Number 1 court location, competent in the procedures relating to abuse.
"This workshop into words the mayor of Social Promotion, Carmen Ruiz-aims to help demystify what concerning the judicial sphere and an approach to the figure of the judge, who has detailed her audience how to file a complaint occurs and key aspects of the procedure in both criminal and civil matters. "
The workshop has been taught by the responsible service of CAVI and by Judge Carmen Alcayde and the captain of the Guardia Civil, Luis Belda, who explained how such procedures are developed.
Caravaca has since 2006 a Specialized Center for Women Victims of Domestic Violence Care.
Since its inception, it has provided social, psychological and legal assistance to some 550 women in the Northwest Region.
Currently located in the service Training Centre, Equality and Employment Diego Cortes Street, next to the garden of The Cejo.
