Students from four secondary schools in the municipality, integrated into the "Youth Correspondent" program, participated in a meeting to promote egalitarian relationships between adolescents and prevent cyberbullying or "cyberbullying".
From the Department of Youth council of Caravaca de la Cruz reported that the purpose of this meeting was to launch an information and prevention campaign on the new forms of violence and control.
During the meeting, in which they have participated among 15 municipalities in Murcia, have developed activities to prevent Internet is a virtual space reproducing gender violence and sexism and young people to develop a critical attitude in this regard.
Juveniles or "informajóvenes" correponsales move this campaign to fellow center and also circulate through social networks.
The non-formal education program "Youth Correspondent" is coordinated by the Directorate General for the Prevention of Violence Against Women, Youth, Legal Protection and Juvenile Court of the Autonomous Community.
Caravaca de la Cruz is one of the municipalities that participate in it, with students from the school Our Lady of Consolation and Pérez Chirinos, San Juan de la Cruz and Oróspeda institutes.
Juveniles are responsible for disseminating correponsales calls, resources and activities among their peers, while collecting demands of young people to make them reach the Administration.
