The exhibition "Musical instruments of Slavery in America", which for the past two months has been exhibited at the Museum of Ethnic Music and consists of instruments from the collection of Charles White Fadol travels to Costa Rica to join the activities of the International Arts Fair that country.

This exhibition, which has received 2,000 visits in the museum Barranda, composed of more than one hundred original musical instruments from Africa and America, created by the enslaved and their descendants.

In shows a comparison between American and African musical instruments and the evolution of the parts manufactured by slaves with current instruments and musical styles performed.

"We must also mention the reconstruction of other American instruments disappeared centuries ago and have rebuilt based on the observation sheets and antique prints," explains White Fadol own.

The Councillor for Culture and Tourism in the city of Caravaca de la Cruz, Maria Cruz Pérez, said that "this exhibition will lead to a more universal understanding of the Museum of Ethnic Music Barranda".

The exhibition "Musical instruments of Slavery in America" ​​was opened last November at the Museum of Ethnic Music Barranda by the Minister of Culture of Costa Rica, Manuel Obregon, accompanied by and mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda and the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz.
